There are 26 hot yoga poses and two breathing exercises with so many specific instructions on getting them right...why? Because when you get them right, you SOAR! It's almost akin to an out of body experience; you're both in your body fully and someplace else, where your body feels perfect. How do you get there? We'll discuss all the ways here!

Never give up! It literally took me about 15 years to get my hips up in Rabbit pose. I discovered this secret: you don't fold forward, you tuck INWARD - like you're trying to get your chin into your navel - in order to get your forehead to your knees practically without touching the floor - and then the hips pop right up. The more you pull, the higher they go, and no pressure on the head or neck. Magic-making for the lower and upper back!

26 poses, and you know all the moves... Yet they are forever changing! Just like me! I love that everyday something new happens, something clicks that didn't before, or that my breath can deepen, or a attitude towards something shifts, either way it's all welcome!

I'm so glad to have only 26 poses to get better and better at...it seems like such a small number (I said "ONLY") but it's a life long challenge that I'm looking forward to enjoying with every class.

I love focusing on the same poses each class. They all balance each other out so perfectly, and I can feel myself getting stronger and more confident in each pose. When you know the poses so well, you learn so much about your body! I can focus on which muscles to use to deepen poses, which parts of the body feel the stretch, how they align my chakras, and on and on and on. It's not about knowing what's coming next or anticipating the next pose, but it's learning about my body in each pose and growing from it.

You know Chrissy I find great comfort in the hot26 pose sequence; it's like the certainty of knowing you are prepared for a journey with the right equipment to support you. The journey here is the experience you have with each class. The hot 26 sequence is a guide on that journey that you can trust all along the way.

I am continually amazed with each hot yoga class I attend! The amazement comes from little 'tidbits" on information I may receive in the lobby talking to other students and teachers, to the new experiences with the poses in class. In class, the new experiences range from reaching deeper places in the pose to having an out-of-body experience where I felt disassociated from my body for a short time. I love the hot-26!

Clearly it loves you right back Lisa! Being open to all the newness each class is magical. You come to not really understand when people ask if you get bored doing the same poses all the time...because you're not doing the same anything!
