The Key Muscles of Yoga

Of all the yoga books on anatomy, The Key Muscles of Yoga is the one to have on your shelf, with vivid illustrations of the body from bones to skin, in actual yoga poses.

There's no need to read this book page by page (unless the spirit moves you!) but do leaf through the illustrations and enjoy it - you'll surely learn new information about what's going on inside the familiar yoga poses you love. Throughout teacher training there will be assignments based on chapters or sections of this valuable resource book so familiarize yourself with its contents

Ask and It Is Given: The Yoga of Happiness

There is an Energy underlying everything

You are physical, but the larger part of you is this Energy

Who manages this Energy?

You do...once you understand how

Ask and It Is Given is perhaps the most powerful book everwritten about a subject that we will explore throughout Teacher Training: the vibration that creates everything you experience

This book will guide your exploration into the nature of your own reality

Throughout Teacher Training you will participate in a weekly Book Forum to understand each rich chapter of this eye-opening book. Feel free to peruse it on your own even before teacher training begins - make notes, highlight your favorite passages (my own book is highlighted, underlined, and dog-eared) and you'll be excited to ask and discuss it the BOOK FORUMS

Autobiography of a Yogi

Steve Jobs read Autiobography of a Yogi over and over. George Harrison actuallly gifted this book to everyone in his life

Autobiography of a Yogi is the Classic story of the life story or Parmahansa Yoganananda, the yogi, who introduced yoga to America. Under the surface, it is the story of the deeper meaning of yoga and the power of the student-teacher relationship. This combination makes it the perfect book for Teacher Training.

It is rich and dense with details and information that will feel both familiar on some level, and completely foreign on others

Many people find this book challenging on first read, as it tends to move slowly and deal with topics that are not of our culture...yet it is full of gems that will unfold for you as you read

To help you get "through" your first read, Max Mednik -not a yogi but an entrepreneur businessman (people from all walks read this book) created a website of his notes on each chapter. You may find them very helpful for your own understanding of this book

MAX MEDNICK EXPLAINS AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF A YOGA CHAPER BY CHAPTER

Participate weekly in the online Book Forum discussing this wonderful book chapter by chapter. Here you can ask all your questions. Answer comments posted in the FORUM. Offer your insights about each chapter of this classic yoga book.

Perhaps Autobiography of a Yogi will become one that you read again and again in your life....and pass on to those you love.
