Hot Yoga Saves the Day

A first-time hot yoga student here in Point Pleasant related an amazing story about her hot yoga experience.

She tried hot yoga for the first time one Sunday morning, explaning that she was very tight and hadn't ever done any yoga at all. After class, she went to visit her grandchildren and, walking up the hill to their front door, she slipped on the icy driveway and fell so hard, she "broke my glasses which were in a hard case buried inside my pocketbook." Having been a postal delivery person for many years, she said she had taken many falls and knew this was a bad one; "I heard things crunch," she said.

She lay on the pavement for awhile then got up gingerly, expecting the worst. And indeed, she was bruised on her side and leg. But, miraculously, nothing was broken, sprained, even twisted. In fact, she felt fine. Even the next day - no muscle soreness.

"It was the hot yoga," she told me. "Just one hot yoga made me so loose and flexible, I didn't hurt myself in that hard a fall."

All the more miraculous, considering she already had a pinched nerve in her neck from a previous accident, and a hip replacement.

My new hot yoga student became an instant hot yoga advocate and wanted to share the wealth. She bought a Hot Yoga Gift Certificate for her daughter and promised to be back for class on a regular basis.

Hot yoga is full of surprises....all good.

The more I do HOT YOGA, the more addicted I become. I am so amazed at how much my flexibility has changed in such a short time. The heat is so relaxing and comfortable to be in. Rhonda's clear instruction is so easy to follow and even when I can't do the entire pose, she makes me feel like I am doing exactly what I am supposed to be doing for my body. Even if you have never done yoga before you will love this!

I've already taken 10 classes in the last month, and I can see differences in my flexability, which at 51 hasn't been much. I'm an old runner with tight hamstrings...that are loosening up. It really feels great knowing I'm detoxing my body...sweating and drinking water. I can already get into poses I couldn't a month ago. Between this and giving up sugar...haven't felt this good in years!

Hot Yoga with Rhonda is an amazing experience. She offers specific feedback about moves to all students at various times during the class to ensure folks are doing the moves correctly and to offer accolades when positioning is perfect! She encourages participants to go deeper when they can and/or savor the place where they are. The class is fun and challenging and flies by!

I tried hot yoga for the first time a few months ago. I had never done yoga before and wasn't sure what to expect. After class I was amazed at how great I felt. My muscles were relaxed and my mind felt at ease. Awesome! Little did I know the real results were yet to come...That evening I was completely enlightened! I became in tune with my emotions and experienced a clarity I had been missing for years. After many happy tears, some big decisions, and and a renewed balance, I can honestly say...hot yoga made a HUGE impact on my life. I loved it, and you will too!

Hot yoga is different from all over forms of exercise, and even other forms of yoga, because of that total-body clean feeling at the end of class. Laying in final sivasana I can feel my blood rushing clean oxygen to all my organs - places in my body I don't normally even think about during the day.

I started practicing Vinyasa Yoga last July and was an instant convert to the world of Yoga. I took my second Hot Yoga class last week and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the heat! It took my practice to a whole new level. I felt cleansed and loose well into the next day. I was amazed at how the heat made the poses attainable, even to a beginner Yogini.
Also, I was impressed with Rhonda's knowledge and ability to keep an eye on us all, as well as give clear and precise instructions.
I will definitely be back to RiverFlow.

The class is incredible and Rhonda is such wonderful instructor. Her instructions are so clear and helpful in helping you reach better poses and push further than you thought possible. I can't figure out why, but I just feel better after a class...and for several days to follow as well. And it gets better every time. I'm only approaching class number seven!

I arrived at the yoga studio with a headache, stiff neck & back spasms, really stressed and up since 4 a.m. The yoga session felt great and during the massage I was able to totally let go. I left with all that pain gone. I was able to be productive & get work done in the afternoon without being stressed and then relax in the evening with my family and I slept like a rock.
